‘SNL50’ Introduces Domingo’s Brothers In Another Bridesmaid Sketch Featuring Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Pedro Pascal & More

Marcello Hernández’s Domingo brings his ‘hot’ brothers to the ‘SNL’ anniversary special

Saturday Night Live brought back a recent viral sketch for its 50th anniversary special.

Following up on the iconic Bridesmaid Speech sketch from November, Domingo was back on the SNL stage at yet another one of Kelsey and Matt’s big life events.

This time, the happy couple wasn’t just saying “I do” again—they were renewing their vows, and the celebration was bigger and bolder than ever. In a heartwarming twist, it wasn’t just the bridesmaids stealing the spotlight; every friend and family member took a moment to share their love and well-wishes for the couple.

Sabrina Carpenter Steals the Show

Sabrina Carpenter, playing the bride’s childhood best friend Sophie, led the bridesmaids in a show-stopping performance of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. But this wasn’t your average rendition—the lyrics were hilariously rewritten to reflect the bride’s journey: “She swears she’s gonna try monogamy / She’s finally learned what is monogamy, and we will hold her down.” Carpenter even capped off the performance with a pitch-perfect (and intentionally off-key) Elphaba-inspired riff, earning cheers and laughter from the crowd.

The Groomsmen’s Staycation Anthem

But the bridesmaids weren’t the only ones with a musical moment. Bowen Yang teamed up with The Lonely Island as “Three Scotts and a Dale”—the groomsmen who serenaded the audience with a parody of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.” Their song, titled “Staycation,” revealed that the groom, Matt, might have had a little pre-wedding fun of his own.

“The groomsmen had a local staycation, ‘cause we’ve been hit hard by inflation. And we knew Matt needs a break from Kelsey,” they sang, dropping the bombshell that Matt had a fling with someone named Ronaldo—played by none other than Pedro Pascal. And as if that wasn’t enough, it turns out Ronaldo has a brother, Santiago, portrayed by Bad Bunny, who also has ties to the wedding party.

A Sketch Series That Keeps Delivering

This sketch is the third installment in a series that’s become a recent fan favorite for SNL. It all started with a bridesmaid speech featuring host Ariana Grande, followed by a baby shower speech with host Charli XCX. Both sketches included Marcello Hernández as Domingo, a character so beloved that he even made a surprise appearance at one of Sabrina Carpenter’s Short ‘N Sweet tour shows after the first sketch hilariously spoofed her hit song, “Espresso.”

Why This Sketch Works

The genius of this series lies in its ability to blend heartfelt moments with laugh-out-loud humor. From Sabrina Carpenter’s musical chops to Bowen Yang’s comedic timing, and the star-studded cameos from Pedro Pascal and Bad Bunny, this sketch had it all. It’s a testament to SNL’s ability to create recurring bits that feel fresh and exciting every time.

If you missed it, don’t worry—you can watch the full sketch above. But fair warning: once you start, you’ll be hooked on this hilarious, heartfelt, and utterly chaotic wedding saga.
